Annie pays tribute to Laura Nyro on the anniversary of her passing

“I Never Meant to Hurt You” was released on Laura Nyro’s first album, More Than a New Discovery in 1967.

This month marks the 28th anniversary of Laura Nyro’s death at the young age of 49. I was lucky to see her perform just once. Her songwriting style has been so influential for me and for so many. This is my humble tribute to her.
